Last night's show was amazing! I mentioned yesterday that Ashlee and I were going to see Joshua Radin, Cary Brothers and Laura Jansen perform at the Knitting Factory. We arrived right before the doors opened and got a spot front and center. Besides the few obnoxious people who think it's cool to be jerks and talk through performances and get trashed, it was a great show!
Laura was adorable! I just love her music! Her album comes out March 22nd! This was our second time seeing Cary and he was better than last time! And then there is Joshua. :::swoon::: He was wonderful! It was so great seeing him perform.
After the show we hung around hoping to meet Joshua, with no luck, but we did run into a friend and we got to meet Cary and Laura. We learned that they are engaged and today is Laura's birthday! They are such sweet people. I think it is so wonderful when artists take time to meet and get to know their fans. I appreciated hearing Laura's story about going from waitressing three years ago to persuing her dream and making music. Below are two of her music videos.
