Happy Last Day of Work!

Today was my last day at F21. I am excited to be done, but it was a little sad to say goodbye to some of my co-workers.

As I was leaving work tonight, the sun was setting. The sky was full of yellows, oranges, soft blues and pinks. It was the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time. It took my breath away. At that moment God told me, "Yo Heather, I got this." Whatever is next, I do not have to worry about it because it is in God's hands.

Here is to the next chapter!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:11-13

Easy Virtue

Easy Virtue is a humorous movie about a glamourous American widow and successful race car driver, Larita, who impulsively marries a young Englishman, John Whittaker. They return to England to meet his parents. It is not enough to say that his mother disapproves of her new daughter-in-law, while his father, Jim, is taken by her. Family tensions escalate.

You must see this movie, even if just to admire all the beautiful clothes.

5 Reasons I Love California

1. Roommates: I love my roommates so much! I was so blessed when I moved to Claremont to have Ashlee, Jenny and Jessie move down to live with me. Plus, at the end of August, Bethanie moved down to live with us. We have had so much fun together and have gone on many great adventures. I’m going to miss living with them.

2. Concordia: I love Concordia University campus. Concordia is what brought me to California in the first place as I began my crazy adventure. My year at Concordia was a turning point in my life and I am so grateful for my time there.

At my favorite spot on campus, by Good Shepherd Chapel.

3. Beaches: One of my favorite things to do here is go to the beach. Whether it is Corona Del Mar, Newport or Laguna, I love going to the ocean. I’m going to miss being so close. I love that last November it was warm enough to go to the beach and that we were able to spend Easter afternoon lying in the sun. I love that I have six swimsuits and use them often here.

4. Disneyland: I love my annual pass. It is nice to be able to go to Disneyland as often as we want and not feel rushed to see and do everything. We have definitely got our monies worth out of these passes.

5. In-N-Out: This is a must in California. I love their cheeseburgers with onions, fries and a coke. I’m going to miss having one right down the street from my apartment.

Follow Friday

I know Follow Friday is a twitter thing, but these are two blogs that I follow and I think you should too. These are two of my best friends. My sister, Ashlee and my fake sister/triplet, Jenny.

These girls are some of my favorites! I wonder what I'm going to do when I don't live with Jenny. We always have too much fun when we're together. Last night Ashlee, Jenny and I skipped to CVS for candy and cokes. We ended up having a dance party in one of the aisles.

I love that we can talk about everything and nothing together. I love that we laugh at burps and play with fart apps on our phones. I love that we take random adventures to Vegas and San Diego. I love our nightly walks together. I love that we are in the same place in our lives. I love how God has brought us together. I love how we've grown together.

Last month I was feeling the need to collage so I started making cards. These are the first three I made. What do you think?

Grey Gardens

I put the new Grey Gardens on our Netflix awhile ago. Ashlee and I watched a few weeks back and then had to get it again so Jenny could watch it. I LOVED it. Big Edie and Little Edie were amazing and bizarre. Drew and Jessica did a great job portraying them. I appreciated that in the movie they went back further in time than the documentary and answered more questions. Besides their unique and humorous personalities, I loved the clothes in this film, specifically from the flashbacks in the 1930s. Enjoy the lovely pictures below.
